Type design is a term used to refer to the drawings and specifications necessary to define the product shown to comply with the airworthiness standards. It includes information on dimensions, materials, processes, configuration, design features, and structural strength of the product. It also includes the Airworthiness Limitations section of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
